Covercraft's UVS100 sunscreen is listed for the 2019–2025 RAV4 and the 2021–2024 RAV4 Prime, and it's our top pick for full coverage. WeatherTech's SunShade is a strong alternative but is sold in versions with and without a dash-cam cutout, so pick the one that matches your windshield setup.

The RAV4's windshield is shared across gas, Hybrid and Prime models in this generation, so sunshades are one of the easiest accessories to get right. The two things to check are the cutout around the mirror and Toyota Safety Sense camera, and whether you've added a dash cam that a rigid shade has to clear.
Which version do you have?
| Your RAV4 | What to check |
|---|---|
| Gas or Hybrid, 2019–2025 | Any shade listed for the 5th-gen RAV4 should fit |
| Prime | Look for "Prime" in the listing — Covercraft and WeatherTech both name it |
| Any version with a dash cam | Choose a roll-up shade or a version with a dash-cam cutout |
How we picked
- Matched each shade's listed fitment to the 2019–2025 RAV4 and RAV4 Prime
- Read owner reports about gaps, sagging and mirror clearance
- Compared roll-up, rigid and umbrella-style designs
Buying guide: what matters on the RAV4
Custom cut vs universal
Universal shades leave gaps at the corners of the RAV4's windshield. A custom-cut shade covers the whole glass, which protects the dashboard and the large center screen.
Mirror and camera housing
The safety camera sits behind the mirror. A custom shade has a cutout shaped around it; a universal shade usually just pushes against it.
Storage
Roll-up shades are thick when rolled. Accordion shades are flat but wide. Umbrella shades fold the smallest but fit the least precisely.

Common fitment problems owners report
- Universal shades leaving bright gaps at the top corners
- Rigid shades hitting an aftermarket dash cam
- Shades for the 2013–2018 RAV4 being sold without a generation listed
- Umbrella shades whose handle presses on the infotainment screen
FAQ
Do RAV4 sunshades fit the Hybrid? Yes. The windshield is the same on gas and Hybrid models in this generation.
Does a 2019 RAV4 sunshade fit a 2025? Yes, if it's listed for the 5th generation (2019–2025).
Will a RAV4 sunshade fit the RAV4 Prime? Covercraft lists its UVS100 for the 2021–2024 Prime. Check the listing for other brands.
Do custom sunshades really make a difference? They cover the full glass, which keeps the cabin cooler and protects the dash and screen from UV damage better than gappy universal shades.
